Jason Cook Head of Instruction
Jason Cook grew up in Washington with a unique connection to pickleball’s origin—introduced to the sport after his father met founder Joel Pritchard. With 34+ years in the game, Jason blends deep competitive knowledge with a modern, analytical coaching style.
A PPR-certified instructor and 30× champion, Jason’s playing career concluded with a memorable match against Ben Johns, now world #1. He focuses on private lessons, tournament prep, paddle fitting, and high-tempo group work, and provides provisional DUPR evaluations for players looking to level up fast.

Tom Grubb IPTPA Level 5 Rating Specialist
With 35+ years of experience and more than a decade teaching professionally, Tom Grubb is one of the Northwest’s most accomplished instructors. He has coached thousands through private lessons, small groups, and clinics.
Tom holds IPTPA Level II and Level 5 Rating Specialist credentials, is a former Level II referee trainer, and has earned 65 tournament medals (43 gold). His résumé includes teaching leadership at The Bellevue Club, Washington Athletic Club, and more.

Millie Leung Instructor
Millie Leung is a dedicated coach and community builder who has led pickleball programs across Maple Valley and Renton, helping 250+ players develop their skills and confidence. She specializes in group clinics, using structured, intentional drills that isolate key skills and support clear, measurable improvement.
Millie tailors her instruction to each player’s needs and learning style, keeping sessions challenging, positive, and fun for beginners and intermediates alike. Her programs emphasize connection, teamwork, and shared growth, creating an environment where players feel supported, motivated, and excited to return each week.

Gordon Hosmer Volunteer Instructor and Community Ambassador
Gordon blends technical knowledge with a relaxed, team-oriented teaching style. After a career in Boeing’s Defense and Space Division, he has spent the past decade instructing and running large-scale pickleball programs.
A Level II IPTPA-certified instructor, Gordon has led 400+ clinics and earned medals at the Washington State Senior Games. His focus is fundamentals, strategy, and building community through group play.

Edward Hiroshina Instructor & Certified Referee Director
Edward is a valued instructor and community leader with extensive experience teaching players at all levels. At the Gordon Family YMCA, he coached over 500 athletes and helped grow the region’s pickleball footprint.
As a Certified Referee Director, Edward can train and certify new referees. He has also contributed over $60,000 in court design plans for local cities and helped shape major Northwest pickleball facilities.

A 4.125 DUPR competitor with 25 tournament medals, Edgar’s recent highlights include Founders Tournament Gold and Rally 55+ Silver. His coaching is upbeat, strategic, and focused on fast improvement.

Steve Cook is a lifelong Washington player with 35+ years of experience and a strong competitive background. With a 4.554 DUPR rating and SideOut 40+ Silver, he brings calm, analytical coaching to every session.
He co-leads Rally’s tournament-prep program with Jason, helping students earn 20+ competitive medals through pattern training, shot selection, and match strategy development.
